Alextra Take On The Staffordshire Chambers of Commerce 7 A Side Football Challenge
On 22nd March 2024 Alextra’s 7-a-side football team competed in a charity tournament organised by Staffordshire Chambers of Commerce. The day was organised to help celebrate apprentices whilst also raising money for the various Chamber Charities.
The Alextra side played well throughout the day and even made it to the semi-finals of the tournament before being knocked out on penalties after a 0-0 draw in their final game of the day.
Team Captain, Jack Carson commented: “Although the result was not what we wanted, I am extremely proud of how well the lads conducted themselves both on and off the pitch, whilst representing the Alextra team colours on a long Friday afternoon away from the office. It was great opportunity for the team to go out and enjoy themselves and the day proved to be a brilliant team bonding exercise for all involved. It was fantastic to see all of the lads enjoying themselves and showing off their skills on the field and it was even more gratifying to see every single one of them acting professionally even in defeat.”
