Steve is a graduate of Exeter University, and trained and qualified at a local firm in Newcastle. He attained ACCA status in 2008 and fellowship of that body in 2013. Subsequently earning his ACCA practising certificate in 2022.
He has acted on behalf of clients of different sizes and sectors throughout his 20 plus years in local practice. From engineering firms to IT contractors, and pub groups to property landlords…..with plenty in between.
With a previous background in audit, Steve has a keen eye for detail which gives clients assurance that their compliance and tax affairs are in safe hands. He believes in a holistic and personal approach to working with his clients, to make sure the best possible service is provided and he is able to be proactive about minimising tax liabilities.
Outside of work, Steve got married in 2023, and has a stepdaughter and a Dachshund called Daphne! He is a familiar face on the local sporting scene. Having had lengthy amateur football and cricket careers in the Staffordshire County leagues, he is now a single figure handicap golfer, and plays out of Newcastle under Lyme Golf Club.

- Favourite Music / Band – There’s a big 80s and 90s influence to my Spotify playlists. INXS were my favourites growing up.
- Best Place Visited – Cape Town. It has a super relaxed vibe, amazing scenery, great wine, and a fantastic place to watch cricket (with very cheap beer!) Although, if my wife is reading… it is of course Mauritius for our honeymoon.
- Favourite Meal – Anything served up by Mrs Hollins of course! I do love a curry, and Chicken Tikka Saagwala is my go to when we are out.
